Three UK & Vodafone UK to sell the BlackBerry Bold 9900

Even as users witnessed the launch of BlackBerry Bold 9900, which is essentially a classic device that sports a new design and platform experience, both Canada based Virgin Mobile and USA based T-Mobile have made their intentions of selling the gadget pretty clear.

It is also being rumored that both Vodafone UK and Three UK will also be joining the club in selling the next generation Bold. While the exact pricing and date of availability of the gadget is not yet known, as a user you won’t have to wait too long as most of the carriers are preparing themselves for a summer launch.

Now that both these operators from UK have spelled their intentions of selling the handset, it shouldn’t surprise you, if you also see T-Mobile and Orange UK follow suit with their own announcements in the near future. Vodafone has also confirmed before Pocket-lint that its network will support the latest gadget from RIM, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 as it hits the market. The gadget is likely to be launched during summer.

Users should also be aware of the fact that Research in Motion has enhanced the hardware on board its new handset by incorporating a 1.2GHz processor. The company has also added a new operating system, which is none other than BlackBerry Operating System 7.

The Bold packs a 2.8-inch VGA (640×480) 287 dpi resolution touchscreen, along with a QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad. The gadget also offers an on board memory of 8GB in addition to providing the option of expanding the same through a microSD card. The device offers NFC capabilities and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities.RIM have worked hard to improve the build quality of the device as well, by utilizing the best of the materials.
