Review of the Blackberry Bold 9650 from Sprint

The Blackberry Bold 9650 is considered to be an upgraded version of the Tour 9630, the main difference when looking at the phone is the exterior design has been changed somewhat.  The 9650 measures in at 4.41 inches and weighs 4.8 ounces, which makes it slightly heavier than the tour which weighs 4.5 ounces.  The battery life is extremely comparable to other Blackberry’s on the market with an estimated talk time of five hours.  The Bold is launched with 512 MB of Flash memory but also offers expandable memory which supports a 16GB microSD Card.  The Bold comes supplied with the typical accessories such as the battery, SIM card for international travel, a USB cable, wall charger, swivel holster, ear buds and the instruction manual.

The main features the Bold offers is built in Wi-Fi, and GPS support, VZ Navigator version 6 and VZ Navigator Global which allows the user free mapping and turn-by-turn directions with more than 20 destinations outside of the United States including: Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK.  Not only does the Navigator Global function provide the map, it also has an application which marks distances, finds gas stations, restaurants, ATM’s and various other important and popular provided the search feature.  The Bold also comes equipped with the standard music player found in the BlackBerry OS 5.0, support for the Bluetooth stereo, suite of software for email, web access, calendar and contacts, a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and video recording, mobile access for Facebook, MySpace, Blackberry Messenger as well as Blackberry App World for business purposes or leisure.

    this is probably second favorite unlocked blackberry phone right now. easy to use, love the games and keyboard is easy to type on. fits in my pocket great, got one for myself and my wife. we love them. great for facebook and maps and the processor is fast. much better unlocked blackberry than my old javelin. good for my work too email is easy to check and reception is great. got our last couple at and we love them. 2 thumbs up
