Google Updates Maps to 5.4.0, Bring Changes From The Previous Version

Google is renowned for creating applications and software that make life easier for users like us. The company recently released Maps version 5.4.0, by bringing about some changes to the previous version 5.3.1 update. Read on to find out what is new about the latest version.

With the introduction of the latest update, Google provides its users with the ability to view their Google Maps searches in Google Web History for their account. Users can also check additional business related details for every search result on the map. In addition to this, users can report “destination not here” while navigating through the Beta version.

By enabling search history for their account, users can type an address on their mobile phone and then recall the address on another gadget later on. Therefore, it essentially centralizes a user’s search history even more so that he/she does not have to look around for the information that they have already accessed.

Google has also incorporated extra business details in the latest update. This includes the star rating that is provided below the business name in the main map view and Details section when a user taps on the business for more information. For example for a restaurant, it would add the type of parking, cuisine, meals served and the year the restaurant was inaugurated etc.

The latest update can even report a destination. This add-on helps in improving the navigation’s accuracy further. Users can report about any information, which has disappeared, is missing or removed and Google will work hard towards fixing the problem.

Now that you have discovered so much about the latest update, its time that you open up Google maps on your gadget right away and look for any information or detail that you are seeking.
